Charlie graduated from The University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Economics. Charlie spent the first 10+ years of his career in Electrical Distribution focusing primarily in LED Lighting Solutions and working with Local Utilities. In addition, Charlie also has experience and knowledge surrounding Industrial Automation. He works very closely with GEL America General Managers to support local operations and manages vendor relationships. In his free time Charlie likes to spend time outdoors with his family and play basketball wherever he can find a game.
Randy Graduated with Honors at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration and Marketing. Randy has 20 years successful Sales experience in consumer products, electrical distribution and LED Lighting. His focus is on California day to day operations as well as leading GEL America’s Zero Down Financing Solutions for all locations. In his free time Randy likes to spend time with his grandchildren and enjoying the great outdoors.
Hector started working within the trade in 1997 as an Electrical Apprentice before enrolling in a five year electrical trade school. During school Hector continued his on the job training and emphasizes that school gave him a great understanding on how to properly install, troubleshoot and follow Electrical Code. Upon graduation Hector was presented with The Apprentice of the Year Award and took top honors in his class. He has had his C-10 Electrical License since 2007 and established Electrical Power Source. Hector’s primary focus is to oversee California Construction and he works hand in hand with the Project Management Team. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, riding his motorcycle and being at the coast.
Director of Accounting & Purchasing
With over 10 years in the electrical business, Bea brings extensive business knowledge and experience to each project. While currently working on obtaining a California B License to further future business ventures, she also works directly with Project scheduling, Accounting, and tends to corporate documents. Bea’s goal as a project manager is to provide quality work and to meet each customer’s expectations from start to finish. In her free time she loves to watch football and her kids play sports, she loves to travel, enjoys entertaining family and friends and interior design.
Director of Design
Jose Graduated from Fresno City College and has three years experience in The Electrical Trade focusing in Project Management. Jose has spent the past year specializing in LED Technology and continues to be a leader of GEL America’s Lighting Software Platform. His focus consists of day to day operations in California performing site surveys, designing solutions and project management. In Jose’s free time he likes to play to guitar, fish and hunt.
Director of Marketing & HR
Jen graduated from The University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and minor in Journalism. Jen started her career at Nike World HQ in Sportswear Footwear assisting in Event and Marketing coordination before pursuing a career in Event Sales in the Hospitality industry. Her focus consists of all Marketing and Communication tasks for GEL America. In addition, Jen handles all Human Resource responsibilities for GEL America Inc. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, hiking with her dog and traveling.
Having studied Business Management at the University of Phoenix, Frank has over 19 years of success in Sales and Marketing. Ten of those years were spent selling Lighting and Energy-Efficiency measures for California Utilities, Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas, San Diego Gas & Electric and Sacramento Municipal Utilities District. Frank is a specialist working in Energy Finance, especially the California Utility based On-Bill Financing. Frank manages California Sales for GEL America, loves spending time with his wife, Rachel, and their five wonderful children and playing guitar with his band.
VP of Construction
Phil is a C-10 Contractor with 30 years of experience in nearly every aspect of Facilities Engineering and Facilities Management, including Lighting, Industrial Equipment and Systems, HVAC and controls, Environmental and Health and Safety. Phil has more than 6 years experience of on hands lighting retrofits, new installation, lighting procurement and install production management. Phil holds many certificates, such as Building Performance Analyst, HVAC EPA 608 Technician, NGAT Testing, Non Residential Lighting Technician and certificates of completion related to CA Title 24. When he is practicing “Life Balance” Phil is usually fishing, hunting, or spending quality time with his wife and grand kids.
California Account Manager, Lighting & Utility Specialist
Darren draws on more than nine years of Energy Program experience to provide energy efficient field assessments and solutions for Commercial Businesses, Non-Profits and Government Facilities across California. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from CSU Fresno, has experience in Program and Process Management. He continually trains in Energy Efficiency Processes and Measures, including Title 24 standards and Proposition 39 funding. Darren also has previous experience in managing processes and sales teams. He strives for strong coordination between his clients, customers, utilities, program staff, engineering staff and management. In his spare time, he enjoys time with his family, designing board games and playing guitar.
Southern Account Manager & Lighting & Utility Specialist
Bill studied Business Management at Sam Houston State University and has been in sales and marketing for over 30 years. He has worked in the oil and energy markets for both Pennzoil and Valvoline and has extensive experience consulting within the automotive and industrial markets. In his spare time Bill enjoys fishing, traveling, cheering on all the Houston sports teams and spending time with family.
Andrew has been a student of energy technologies for years and has great interest in entering and learning about the field. He has worked previously in the energy efficiency sector and has gained experience in systems and efficiency measures in his previous activities, as well as in management and discipline. He enjoys greatly the topic of energy and energy efficiency and has plans to greater expand his knowledge and put his ideas into practice. He also enjoys spending time with his family and playing the guitar.
VP of Sales
Brian has been working in the Energy Efficiency Industry for more than 15 years after leaving hi tech in early 2000’s. He managed a nonprofit delivering LiHEAP, DOE, ARRA and regional IOU programs to the low income, elderly, and disabled in our communities. He helped to lead the charge for the EUC by working with the three largest IOUs in CA driving Energy Upgrade California’s implementation, evolution, and uptake, while administering the EUC Program for the California Energy Commission. He recently developed programs in the southwest managing programs for Arizona and Nevada IOUs in delivering rebate programs and controls to both residential HVAC programs and Public, Charter and Private Schools throughout AZ. Brian is focused on building and developing the GEL America Sales Team across the western states while making sure we are having fun, enjoying the work we do, consistently exceeding expectations, challenging the status quo, and taking care of our customers each day.
Oregon Account Manager, Lighting & Utility Specialist
Charlie’s been finding ways to improve and build more energy-efficient buildings since studying environmental architecture in the 70s. After many years working with utility energy-efficiency programs in OR, WA, MI and CA – and building two of North America’s highest-scoring LEED-platinum houses – he’s enthusiastic about helping implement large-scale lighting upgrades. Time off includes cycling, kayaking and time with family, friends and dogs.
